Sutra Beach

We went for a corporate family day 1 - 3 May 2008, headed to Sutra Beach Resort in Batu Rakit Terengganu Darul Iman.

Lots of this type of photos...  The white sandy beach was (and still is) awesome.. the water blue/green, and the waves friendly.  We spent as much time on the beach as we could.. and went into the swimming pool whenever we get the chance.

When I was small, I didnt have much material to read.  Nak beli buku cerita ayah tak mampu.. suratkhabar pun tumpang baca kat rumah orang (itupun kalau mak bagi pegi la).  Komik ada la.. sbb 1 ringgit dapat 3 kat pasar malam.  Itupun jarang dapat pegi.

Nowadays, my son requests to go to the bookstore quite regularly.  Although he only read storybooks, the fact that he reads is enough to make me happy. 

He can finish one of the spiderwick book in a day; which says a lot about his ability to focus (the book has not much of graphic .. and no colors).  I remember having the same passion and focus when I achieved 14 years of age.  He is now only 10.

We've got Readers Digest, NatGeo and Fortune regularly at home.. He has started to browse through those now... I hope he'll catch on soon.

Kalau translate jadik Masak lemak cili api ikan keli salai.  Lebih kurang la.... Sebenarnya skrg waktu lunch and I havent eaten. 

Dulu2 aku rasa cam nak tegelak tgk org N9 masak lemak tak tumis bawang.  Turns out lepas tu aku pun jadik org N9.  Oh well.. lagi cepat.. minus one step di dalam memasak.

Sekarang ni nak cari ikan salai kat pasar pun susah.. Dulu setiap kali balik kampung boleh cari punya.. skrg orang kat kampung dah duduk dgn kita.. 

KakZ mesti terer masak ni..

nak letak rempah lain2 pon ok je... improvise... improvise....

Goreng dgn minyak yg sedikit.  Makan dgn nasik panas..

JCO Donut

It's all about packaging and presentation.  After all that... its just donuts.  My mom makes donuts.. although not as fluffy as these.. but it's still the best in the world because its not franchised... if my mom is no more, there will never be the same kind of donuts.

Whether it is JCO or BigApple, I find the presentation similar, the taste too.  The premium price befitting its packaging.  They are not selling donuts now.. they are selling privilege and prestige and all that sticks on the highest point of Maslow's theory.

If you dont mind premium donuts, go for it.. not as filling as the normal kampung donuts.. (you can stop after 2 of those.. but with premium donuts.. no chance... very light.. it fills your tastebuds.. not your tum.)

Note:  I've been long gone from this space... not promising to be here all the time now,.. will check-in whenever I can find the time.   Will be off to Shanghai 15-18 May 2008.

Saya suka seedless grape ini.  Small and Crunchy, very sweet... hingga makan kena berteman air sejuk secawan...

Ini masak lemak cili api ayam campur pucuk ubi.  Sebenarnya lagi sedap kalau ayam tu digantikan dgn telur...

Ini lauk favourite waktu sahur.  Ikan bilis campur tempe (patutnya ada lagi kacang tanah and kentang) jadik sambal goreng.

Ini namanya goreng udang rencah kacang buncis dan lobak merah heheheh... sbb lauk lagi banyak dari sayur.  Dalam tu ada hati dan pedal ayam sekali.
